This great POV video was put together by the Keep Drifting Fun guys Will and Josh. It features Forsberg's Great 8 run against the S15 of James Deane. The battle went "One More Time" but the consistency and awesome style of Forsberg and the NOS Energy Drink Nissan 350Z prevailed. The footage was all captured using ContourHD Cameras.

Just got home from Sonoma which was a short weekend in comparison to all our other events being that it is just a short drive to San Fran and also that we do not have Thursday practice available at this track like we do the others. That being said, I am glad we debuted our new Nissan Motorsports engine last round in Vegas because we would not have had the time to adjust with the few runs we have on Friday before qualifying.
Our first lap of qualifying is always pretty straight forward, push hard, get a clean run in, and get nuts on the second lap. However, our first pass put us in 2nd place, and held all the way through the second round! I still pushed hard on the second run trying for a backwards entry but went slightly off course which threw off the run and our hopes at the top qualifying spot.
After we cooled the car down and got back to the start line, I am told we will be facing Vaughn Gittin Jr. in the Semi-Finals. After I had a moment to think, I realized that the two of us were not the only Drift Alliance members still remaining, Ryan Tuerck had also reached the Semis. Holy crap, it could be a 1,2,3 DA podium!!! The only thing standing between us and our long time dream of having 3 of us up there together is Tanner Foust, which is no easy task being that he would have to lose twice. Tuerck runs through the course and beats Tanner, putting Tanner in the consolation round which means it would be either Vaughn or myself who would have to face Tanner for that last spot on the podium. I lead against JR with a solid clean run, on the follow I wanted to keep the gaps close to try to ensure a win, as we enter into the course and start to slow down and I realize that we were both on the brakes pretty hard. At this point, I try to follow JR as best as I could, on the outer clipping point he dropped into the dirt so I do the same but my car spun to a stop which gave Vaughn the win. Now it was up to me to defeat Tanner.
Tanner’s car is fast so I tried to beat him with angle, my first pass I threw the car as hardas I could and went past the lock, sliding into the first corner with all four tires screaming, I was able to pull the car out and continued through the course! This was about as hard as I could run the Sonoma course but on the follow run, Tanner pulled a couple car lengths on me as we entered into the first corner, I was unable to catch up and remained about three car lengths behind for the entire run… The judges gave Tanner the win and I took 4th. An awesome finish that I would be super happy with in any other circumstance but I have to admit, I was so sad to see us get so close to sweeping the podium only to miss it. We’ll get ‘em next time!

Vegaaas! Only a few days left until Round 5 of Formula Drift in Las Vegas. I am so excited for this event, I can hardly wait. Kevin and Sergio have been hammering on the NOS Energy 350Z the past couple weeks getting our new Nissan Motorsports engine installed! With the days counting down, the guys were able to get the car together and running over the weekend, and we had a VERY successful test day yesterday. The car puts out almost 150 more horsepower than ever before, this should bring our speeds up for the entry as well as in drift.
We spent today buttoning up the car and getting ready for the weekend. Tomorrow I will be getting the big rig for us to load everything in. There is not much time left, but everything really came together for us and I am feeling really good about the upcoming weekend!
I'm never NOT working but living life is my job, traveling, MC'ing events, talking to fans and friends and it all blends together and NOS keeps me Fueled up...
Last week and weekend I got to see some NOS Athletes perform and get some medal in their life and NOS Energy Drink drifter Chris Forsberg throw down a serious game...
