Hey drift fans, here is some background on the newest edition to the Nor Cal Nos Team!
Jared Thompson, a product of the bay area, was a pro driver in the 2007 World Drift Series in China and the winner of the first annual Nor Cal Track Drift Competition at Thunderhill Raceway. Thompson finished 3rd overall in the 2009 Thunderdrift Championship Series and will be competing in the 2010 Formula Drift ProAM.

happy new year everyone .. well who says that we CANT have our top 10 of 2009 in 2010 .. lol ... well to be honest i have been on vacation so i was living it up and haven't blogged for some time now ..
since long beach, chris and i have been talking about brining home a championship .. at first it was a really hard thing to think about because of all the money put into the cars and teams till chris took #1 qualifier at long beach people noticed that keeping it simple stupid was the new pace .. then taking home more wins thought out the year really made the our pursuit to a championship even more realistic.. doubt NO .. superstitions YES ... there was even a point when i tough that i was "bad luck" i have never seen chris podium and didn't make it to event even thought that was my job too .. but that was broken at irwindale when he took home the 2009 FD championship .. but the turning point of all this was when we went to seattle and the numbers started shaping up for a championship season .. and chris was in high gear to bring one home for the team ... and our friend andy @ drift alliance media was there to capture the moment .. this is our #8 NOSome moment in 2009 ... First off I'd like to introduce myself, I'm James Cale from detointernational.com. DETO is a racing lifestyle brand that fuses the culture of racing through the form of fashion. We are based out of New Jersey and this post is on my trip to San Fransisco, California.

Any time I travel to somewhere that I haven't been before, I always take notice on the fashion and car culture that an area has. San Fran easily has both without over-doing itself. Here are a few random snaps I took just on the street.
as the year comes to an end, i started thinking about all the great things that happened to me this year and the awesome people i met along the way...and not to mention how we dominated everything this year! one of the things that hit me the most was how my lifestyle has jumped from every form of motorsports out there, and every form of "car life" in the automotive space .. from imports to euros, domestics and more.
but one thing that i didn't mention is the art form of our "car life." kenny cano was introduced to me by my best friend eugene shepard @ localscenemedia.com ... at first glance you would never think that he is an artist or let alone a film major!! after a whole summer kenny has grown closer to me, my brother and my life. not only is he a great friend but i dare say the best editor on the east coast to call into rank with will roegge, linhbergh, josh h, and more... "but i am still on TEAM LINHBERG" ... ohh yea ... and not to mention our sexy TEAM PANDA crew 2 person car club hahah (his bmw is white and black and so is my SC)

well i am not really a city guy at all but i love coming in and out of the city for cool events and invites from friends .. mr cartoon and chill with vic .. hands down i am out ..
one thing i love of about this city is the creativeness .. i couldnt see who this ads for (fail) but the idea was ill .. the skyline in the skyline ..
So I spent thanksgiving in chicago this year .. (my fiance originally from chicago) with spending at least 30% of my life in chicago, I have come across some great friends and kept up with some old friends ... Every Thanksgiving my brother and always go karting the day after no matter where we are so my brother came along with me to chicago, Mark (Driver of the Greddy s14) has been dialing in allot of seat time karting to get ready for the XDC season .. So dropped a call to good long time friend Ahad Mirza ...
if you want to find a good spot to kart, the best spot is chicago indoor racing ..
