Team NOS Hawaii Brian "Banzai" Torikawa

Brian "Banzai" Torikawa led Team NOS Hawaii to victory lane over the weekend on the Big Island Of Hawaii. Brian won both the 1st heat and 2nd heat then drove the NOS #80 to victory in the main event. In heat #1 spectators got a scare when #3 Tony Vicar of Hilo rolled his car on the front straight away . After a few minutes Tony got out of his car and walked away from the crash. Tony was able to fix his car in time to race the 2nd heat and main event. In the 2nd heat #7 Ken Antonio of Hilo was unfortunate when he lost his motor after entering the track. Brian also revealed his new Team NOS helmet from Imapact. WOW awsome looking helmet! Brian has one more race left in the 2009 season. Lets hope Brian can bring Team NOS to victory lane one last time in 2009.

NOS Goes Old School

Sometimes the coolest people, places, things in life are private until you know someone who knows someone... 

This was the case when I was introduced to an amazing collection of original and restored hot rods in Greenville, SC.  The man behind the collection, Greg Porter, is not only the owner of the collection but he is also the restorer. 

His collection has been a lifelong passion which has now turned into an amazing facility and collection.  As his years in the automotive business, and his son Toby's stock car racing career developed, the collection added more than just vehicles.  

Greg's facility is a multi-building complex which houses an in-house restoration shop, a museum, and additional storage buildings. 

We are pleased to be apart of equiping the shop with human horsepower to go along with the real horsepower found in the many buildings at Greg Porter's Custom Shop.  If you are in Greenville, SC or near the area, look up Greg and he will be happy to show you around.

Primed to blow the lid off the current custom car and paint trends, Sideways AutoSalon/NOS Energy Drink/Import All Stars has unleashed this gem on the rest of the country.

 

This 2002 Subaru has been a long time demo vehicle for the boys at Sideways AutoSalon in Austin, Texasand its newest metamorphosis is jaw dropping. The most obvious, slap-you-in-the-face aspect of the vehicle is its ridiculously detailed HAND PAINTED tattoo paint job. The brush work was handled by the renowned artist Cindy ‘Crash’ Raschke & is in her own words ‘absolutely the coolest thing I’ve ever been allowed to do’. The two tone basecoat is a steel gray mica & electric blue pearl sprayed with Dupont’s Chroma system for maximum brilliance. The brush work was then covered with NINE coats of clear & required a full month of sanding to give it a glassy smooth finish. The entire paint job was a 4 month project & the pictures simply do not do it justice. You must see this car in person at the upcoming Hot Import Nights ‘Rivalry Nights’ in Austin, Texas.

AZ "Hot-Lap" GTG @ Audi Forum Infineon Raceway

Nos hit up Infineon Raceway on August 15th to participate in the gathering of Northern California's Audi Enthusiasts first GTG Sportscar Experience. This was brought to you by Audizine @ www.audizine.com.

We were able to take rides with professional drivers in the new Audi R8 V10, TT-S, and S5 around the track. This was a great day for The Nor Cal Nos Team as we cross promoted with Audizine and car goers in the Bay Area. Yeeeeeeee!

Honda Ruckus Adventure

After various retail samplings this weekend in support of the Indy race in Chicago I strapped my BMX bike onto my Honda Ruckus and headed to Milwaukee for a few days to hang out with friends and family.  Def check this out after the jump!!

Nos hits up Industry Track Day at Willow Springs Raceway

The SoCal Nos team was at Industry Track Day at Willow Springs Raceway this past Sunday. It was another extemely hot day and we weren't to far from the fires that are still burning but that didn't prevent us from having a good time. Steve from Mackin Industries let us put our tent next to his and everyone had a blast watching the races, eating food and drinking cold Nos. A couple people spun out and there was one accident (he's okay but his car got demolished). Check out the pics after the jump.
